Will asking for public assistance affect I-485?

My wife was on Medicaid when she was pregnant. Will this affect our I-485s?

I heard that if it is not about institutionalization for long term care, it won't affect the I-485. I don't know, though. Does anyone here been on Medicaid but got the I-485 approved?
