EB1B job change?

Hello. I recently got my EB1B I-140 approved by USCIS. I'm currently in a tricky situation though because my company is going through a lot of changes. They've been laying off quite a few workers recently and I'm worried that I may be fired too. I think it's unlikely, but not impossible. So my question to you: what happens to my EB1B if I do get fired from my job? If I find another employer, can they transfer my case?

As far as I know, if your I-485 has been pending for more than 180 days and you will continue to work in the same field you claimed for your I-140, it should fine.

I just realized that I didn't really answer your question. So, if you change jobs before your I-485 is filed or before your I-485 is pending at least 180 days, you will lose your I-140 under EB-1B and you need to file another I-140 to get your green card.
