EB1B Backlogging

Hello. My EB1B I140 was just approved, but I can't file 485 because of the backlog. Does anyone know how long this backlogging will take? I'd like to get a green card as soon as possible

Are you from India? Same here. I heard it was about 9 years right now.....crazy! I'm trying to see if I can apply under a different category and port my priority date

dwayne.simmons617 That's not true. I think you're confusing it with EB2. EB2 India is backlogged almost 10 years, but EB1 is a little over an year

@Gary was right. EB-1 visa retrogression is much shorter than of EB-2 for people from India.

To clarify, you can check the monthly USCIS chart to know when you can file I-485. In Jan., the date is 01OCT17.
