Divorce - Will it affect my I-485?

Just a general question. If someone's in the process of getting a divorce, will this affect their I-485? Also, will their soon-to-be former spouse benefit from the I-140? Thanks!

Probably will not affect I-485 but you need to indicate your previous marriage in Form I-485.
