Gov grant helpful in the petition? (EB1A)

Hi all,
I have some government grant and my name is included. I want to include this in my EB1A petition but my lawyer said we should not focus on the grant. He also said if I have patents, this will instead be helpful. Is this true?

You can include the gov grant and elaborate on what it is that makes that grant significant. Can your supervisor signs a letter that testifies to your contribution and how you work led to getting the grant? If so, should be helpful.
