What happens when my 485 gets denied?

I have a pending 485 right now. Will I need to leave USA if it gets denied? What should I do then?

What status are you on currently? Do you have a non-immigrant visa? If so, you will be fine. If not, you would want to consult with your immigration attorney immediately and get a valid dual intent visa. Can't believe your attorney would let you stay in the U.S. only on a pending 485...

Sorry for the confusion. I'm on STEM right now. I would never risk NOT having a visa......

Good for you. It is better to keep a valid status during the whole GC process just in case. Things can go wrong and you never know when or whether your I-485 will be approved.
