How many letters do I need????

Hello folks, how many recommendation letters did you get when you filed your case? Please share the number of your recommendation letters, whether they were independent, and if your case were approved. Thank you!

I’ve heard that 4-6 is a reasonable number. However, I don’t think the number of recommendation letters matters the most. I would focus more on the content if I were you.

Number doesn't matter. Just make sure they are experts from your field.

Your attorney would be able to tell the exact number based on your reference list. I heard that most of your letters should come from independent recommenders.

well, my attorney just told me that I need 5 letters. I'm doing EB1A. I'm not sure how the number got decided but they did raise a good point of too many letters might be too distracting as they might all be taking about pretty much the same thing.
