to Howard:

My friend told me that he asked his employer to change his job title to a more “permanent-position-sounding” one, like research associate for EB-1B. Apart from that, you’ll need your employer to state that your position is permanent in the employment letter for the EB-1B petition. This is what my fried did for his EB-1B I-140.

to Howard:

Hey, as long as your employer is willing to sponsor, postdocs can file EB-1B. You can ask an attorney regarding the documents they need to provide for your case.

Ok, I'm going to check with the international office one more time. But you know how they are really inefficient when it comes to their employee's GC application...
