So I'm preparing to file EB1B with my company right now, but I heard that you have to stay with the same company until 1 year after you get the green card. I was thinking maybe I should also filing under EB1A at the same time to keep my flexibility. Can one file EB1B and EB1A at the same time? Would it lower the chance of approval or lead to any other issue? Thanks!!!

to Bruce:

Yes, you can definitely file EB-1B and EB-1A because the USCIS allows green card applicants to file multiple I-140s, and technically all I-140s should be evaluated individually. Your EB-1B I-140 and EB-1A I-140 should not affect each other.

I think you have your answer, but I'm just gonna add one thing. If you have good enough credentials for EB1A, why not file NIW instead of EB1A? NIW is much easier to get approval and you can also change jobs
