how many recommendation letters do i need?

I have a limited number of recommenders. I asked around and currently have around five people who will be willing to write recommendation letters for me. Is this enough? If it is not enough, will this affect my case?

Generally, 4-6 letters should suffice. Your attorney would be able to tell you the ideal number for your case. Did you check with them?

Are these 5 recommenders someone that already know you or worked with you before? If so, they will be considered as dependent recommenders and their letters won't add much strength to your case.
