Does deportation record disqualify me for GC?

Hi, hmm… I was deported couple years ago as I was reckless about my visa status…. I’ve heard that someone with a deportation record cannot file GC. Is it true?!! Does anyone know? Thanks.

I don’t think your deportation record disqualifies you for GC, but it’s going to make it very difficult for you to get a GC.
