Can I maintain permanent residency of another country?

I am from India but I am also a permanent resident of Canada. If I get a US green card can I also maintain my permanent residence in Canada?

You probably could. The US does not strictly forbid permanent residents from having permanent residency of another country, but there are rules about how much time you can spend outside of the US as a permanent resident. These rules would probably make it difficult for you to maintain your permanent residency of Canada.
