J-1 clinical

I'm thinking about applying for a J-1 clinical visa but I will probably have the two year rule. Are there any other disadvantages for my GC if I apply for this visa?

I read on a forum somewhere that you will need to apply for a J waiver position by working for three years in a medically underserved community. So you won't be able to apply for I-485 until you finish both the J-1 clinical program and the J waiver position.

If you want to get a GC sooner then I'd say don't get a clinical J-1. It takes too much trouble to waive the 2 year restriction.
