O-1A visa

I have an approved EB-2 and I want to change my visa to O-1A. Can I change to O-1 in the U.S.? Will my EB-2 affect my O-1 application? Can I travel to India after changing to O-1?

BTW, I am on OPT STEM now and have never been on another visa

Hi! I'm from India too! Yes, you can change to O-1 in the U.S. and your EB-2 case should not affect your O-1 application. I got EB-2 NIW approval before changing to O-1 as well and it was fine. You can also travel to India after getting O-1. It is a better visa to have for travelling.
