HR 1044

Hi! Has anyone heard how the bill HR 1044 will affect the GC process?

I am from Iran and I heard that this bill will most likely be approved. Will it affect my pending I-485? I also have a lot of Iranian friends who are considering starting the GC process due to this bill. Should they file their EB-2 NIW ASAP?

I heard that as long as your I-140 is approved before HR 1044 starts, your GC should not be affected by the bill. So yeah, your friends might want to consider filing if they want to get their I-140 approved soon.

I don't know much about the new bill but I would say you and your friends should start applying their GC ASAP. I feel that the situation is only getting more difficult for Iranians.
